My pen is the instrument of my sanity
That keeps me on the brink of humanity
Hidden by the canopy
I swear I don't hear any profanity
All I hear, is the positive...Forget the negative
I forget what it is, where it is,
I just start new biz...........ness
Looking at my wrist
Time keeps getting brisk
It keeps getting colder
But I keep getting bolder
Then I give the non-believers the cold shoulder
But I keep friends close
And family closer
I keep them warm to my heart...like a toaster
It 's been an emotional roller coaster
But I wish someday I could get closer
To the stars-summer solstice
Love me or hate me
I'm still gonna be me
Taking things by chance
It's like being trapped in a cast
you can't wait to get out
and you have no doubt
That what you did to get in the cast
You will leave in the past
Meaning you live and you learn

What life could possibly want

But to stay intertwined with the truth
I had to look inside me
And look real deep
Until it became steep
And the more I reap
The more I see reality
And it could be sweet
That's only if I see within myself
To see beyond the possibilities
To see beyond the answers
To see beyond the lies
And to realize
What is the truth
And that truth is
